Nathan began painting at the age of 17 with his high school friend-turned business partner Brad. He worked hard to develop his skills in the trade, and also to rely on those around him with more experience. As Nathan and Brad transitioned from being the labor to managing labor, Nathan took on many of the early responsibilities of organizing the business. As the business grew, he began to gather the best painting crews in the city to perform the jobs being sold. Over the last 20+ years he has continued to manage the business, while also visiting jobs in the field on an almost daily basis, continuing to learn the newest products and technologies in the painting industry, which has led to the introduction of a 5-year warranty on most of the work performed by Prim Painting. Staying educated on the latest trends and methods has given him the confidence to stand behind the painting services provided two times longer than other competitors. A key component to this is staying curious, and recognizing when he doesn’t know something, and asking a peer with more knowledge. When he is not running the business, he spends the majority of his free time at soccer fields, watching his three boys compete in the sport they love.
